My love of education comes from my family. Many of my family members are educators and I learned to value education from a very early age. My father returned to college to get his education degree after serving in the U.S. Navy. When I was in high school my mother, who had polio when she was 13, went to college to receive 2 degrees as well. The commute for both of them was about 40 minutes one way.
