Born in Iraq, Ahmed M. earned his B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Baghdad. He received his M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona, where he worked as a Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant and taught Iraqi Arabic.
