Making Math Simple

Have you ever had a teacher who was "teaching" but you didn't understand a word she said, like she was talking over you or at you instead of talking in a language you could understand. I've had this happen, and as a student, it makes math way more difficult when your teacher assumes you can understand on the same level as her.
