English (grammar, proofreading, structure) and history

I am not a "professional" tutor, in so far as I have never (at least, as of this writing) exchanged my services for money, but I am a person who consistently gives out a lot of free advice regarding term papers and homework and whatnot, so I guess that I am, in some basic sense, a professional idiot, because it took me a long time to realize that this was perhaps not a completely judicious thing for a poor college student to be doing.
