I started climbing 22 years ago on an Outward Bound course in the mountains of my home state of Maine. I was hooked instantly. I dove into trad climbing the next year, at 15, at the great Maine boy's camp, Camp Winona, who's outdoor climbing program is unmatched in New England summer camping.
